Honey Garlic Salmon is the easiest fish dinner you’ll ever make! It’s flaky with sweet, salty, sticky honey and soy sauce glaze. It’s simple, quick, and so good!!
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets – skin on
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice or white vinegar
- 2 -3 large garlic cloves – minced
- 1 tbsp hot water
- Salt and pepper
- Chives, parsley, sesame seeds, or scallions – finely sliced (optional), if desired
Directions:
-
Sprinkle salmon with salt and pepper. Set aside.
-
Mix the honey, water, vinegar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt together and stir.
-
Heat an oven-safe skillet (cast-iron skillet preferred) on high heat. Spray pan with cooking spray or use 1-2 tbsp of olive oil.
-
Pan-fry the salmon, skin side down first, for about 1 minute. Turn the salmon over and cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn it over again, so the skin side is at the bottom.
-
Add the garlic to the pan, saute until slightly browned, then pour sauce over the salmon and cook for another 1-3 minutes or until it thickens.Note: if the sauce thickens too much before your salmon is cooked to your taste, add water, 1 tbsp at a time.
