I’ve been asked this question many times. I even had a lady stop me in the gym yesterday and ask me, “why are you still working out?”
If I told you you had one of the most physically demanding challenges ahead of you that your body will ever go through (giving birth), wouldn’t you want to prepare for it???
Doctors and experts, myself included, agree working out won’t cause a miscarriage.
The truth is, miscarriages are usually no one’s fault. They can happen to anyone. I know women who’ve miscarried and never worked out a day in their life.
Many doctors encourage pregnant women to exercise because it can lower miscarriage risk, reduce stress, aches, pains, gestational diabetes and build stamina for labor.
To all the mamas out there, did you stop working out when you got pregnant? And if so, why?
