Unfortunately your body just doesn’t work that way. The idea is that if you eat the right foods, your metabolism – your body’s furnace – will hit overdrive and magically burn your fat stores. When you eat, your metabolism speeds up to digest and use the food’s calories for your body’s various functions. No one food can elevate your metabolism for extended periods. Although hot peppers and celery have been said to be fat burning foods, research shows that they don’t cause any huge metabolic change.
